BUTTERFLY BALLAD This story follows Katy and Kevin Caterpillar through the stages of their lives – from egg, to caterpillar, to chrysalis, to butterfly – and their fascinating migration to Mexico.  Ages 3-8. Butterfly Ballad page

IMAGINATION STATION 

A playful variety show using puppets, simple objects, music, storytelling, and lots of audience participation. The children will discover that a little imagination can go a long way. Perfect for Preschoolers!


JONAH: THE PROPHET WHO RAN AWAY

A storyteller tells the Biblical story of Jonah with puppets, music and lots of audience participation.  Good for grades  preschool-5, or family events.


JOSEPH AND THE COAT OF MANY COLORS

This secular presentation of the ancient Hebrew story tells of Joseph, his colorful coat, and his ability to interpret dreams. The production uses both rod and shadow puppets. We can include a discussion of God’s role in this story. Recommended for K-5, or families.


KIDS ON THE BLOCK Large puppets accurately portray children with Down Syndrome, visual and hearing impairments, and cerebral palsy. These puppets help children understand other children that may be a little different from them, and the children in the audience can ask the puppets questions, gathering even more understanding. ONCE UPON A TIME IN CHINA This enchanting Chinese tale is a multi-cultural gem with a moral about the importance of honesty. SPLISH, SPLASH: WATER STORIES

H2-Oh! Splish, Splash: Water Stories, Piccadilly Puppets’ newest show,

Frog & Eel

explores our most precious resource in a fun and educational way! Large hand-puppets are used in the Australian folktale of “Tiddalick the Frog” and the Creek legend “Rabbit Plays Tug-of-War,” which demonstrate that water is important to all cultures. The original shadow puppet piece, “The Adventures of Drip and Drop,” shows the water-cycle from the point of view of the raindrops. As the closing song says, “Everybody needs a little water!” Developed with the help of Project WET, this show is best for ages 4-10.

Piccadilly’s Chief One Feather puppet introduces students to the history, lifestyle, and religious practices of Georgia’s early inhabitants—the Cherokee. With the help of puppets and audience volunteers, the puppeteer/storyteller then recounts a Cherokee creation story about how the earth was formed, how animals came to live on earth, and how fire was discovered.
