Piccadilly Puppets is once again pleased to perform ‘Twas the Night Before Christmas at the Aurora Theatre in Lawrenceville!
The Aurora Children’s Playhouse is a wonderful place to take your kids for live performances! They present plays, puppets, music, magic – the best children’s entertainers in Atlanta and beyond on Saturday mornings, at least once a month. The performances are affordable, too; tickets are only $7, or you can buy a punch card for 10 admissions good for any show for only $50. What a great Christmas gift for a family!

Piccadilly Puppets is happy to announce that we have received funding for the current 2013-14 season from the Fulton County Board of Commissioners, through the guidance of the Fulton County Arts Council. Fulton County is the leading public funder for the arts in the State of Georgia. It is wonderful to live in a county that understands the importance of the arts to our community. Our grant from the Fulton County Arts Council supplements our main source of income, which is the fees we charge for performances. This enables us to hire skilled, professional puppeteers and pay them a competitive wage, while still keeping our prices affordable to most groups. We can also give back to the community through occasional discounted or even free performances. Through the application and review process and final reports, the arts council also helps us to set goals, to meet artistic standards, to be financially responsible, and to be held accountable for the way we spent the funds at the end of each year. These grants benefit not only our organization, but more importantly YOU, as our audience. Please join us in thanking the Board of Commissioners and the Arts Council. If you live in Fulton and enjoy the arts, please let your Commissioner know!

On November 13th, our community will come together for a special 24-hour online giving event called GA Gives Day and we need YOU to join us! Piccadilly Puppets hopes to raise $2000 in 24 hours to help us produce a new show (and keep the lights on at the same time). This is YOUR chance to make a real difference, right here in our community.
Of course, you don’t HAVE to donate to Piccadilly Puppets. There are hundreds of other wonderful organizations taking part, too.

The site is actually up & running all year long, so it doesn’t have to be done on Wednesday.
On Saturday, October 19, we’ll be performing at two different festivals! (Actually three, but one is for Alabama Power in Birmingham, AL).
The Mable House Storytelling Festival in Mableton
There will be wonderful storytelling & activities from 11-4. You can tour the historic home, watch a blacksmith in action, dance to bluegrass music, and of course, watch a Piccadilly Puppets show! Cherokee Tales will be performed at 11:30 and 1:00 in the Sweet Potato House.
The Dekalb International Food and Music Festival at Northlake Mall
Multicultural cuisine and entertainment from 12-6, but we’ll be strolling through the crowd from 12-2.
Piccadilly Puppets is excited to be taking part in the 6th Annual International Festival and Dragon Boat Races in Peachtree City this Saturday, September 28. No, we’re not paddling a boat, but we are doing what we do best – performing a puppet show!
Drake Field, 10am-5pm. We’re on at 1:15 pm. See the Entertainment schedule below:
Nancy & Kiera from Piccadilly Puppets attended the Puppeteers of America National Festival August 5-10 in Swarthmore, PA.

We attended workshops, networked, and saw lots of fabulous puppet shows! The festival was held on the campus of Swarthmore College, but on Saturday we went into the town to entertain children & adults alike with busking, shows, and a parade which led everyone to the campus outdoor amphitheatre for a performance by Heather Henson’s Ibex Puppetry. Here are some photos of just a few of the many events! For more info:
